Cosybox

Originally a top floor flat with 2 small bedrooms we literally took the whole roof off this building and added a floor before installing a brand-new roof on top. The single floor apartment became a very generously sized duplex 3 bed apartment with wonderful views out across London.

 The downstairs is home to an open plan kitchen and living area. The main challenge here was how to deliver that within a compliant fire strategy from a building regulations perspective. As the kitchen is right next to the front door (the main route of escape), our challenge was to create the feeling of openness and light throughout the apartment but whilst still being compliant. The result is a space that provides both pleasure and safety all in one!
